If you are murdered by Hannibal Lecter's knock-off, how can you possibly protect me? I've survived Abel Gideon twice, when you couldn't seem to manage even that. He doesn't murder out of some wayward sense of romance, Danger. I was right about him, and you didn't listen.

[As this goes on, his voice gains confidence:]

How dare you question my competence? You are well-aware that there is an emotional component affecting these circumstances that has absolutely no application in the case of Hannibal Lecter. This is not an issue of my defensive functions.
